Our Providers

It is exciting to combine my talents as a Certified Nurse Midwife and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I completed both my Midwifery in 2007 and Doctoral education in 2012, at Frontier Nursing University. In 2018, I began my Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner career at Rush University.

My work as a full-scope clinical midwife included Title X (family planning), a large rural OB clinic, and consulting for high-risk patients in a home-based midwifery practice among the Amish. My last midwifery role was in Chicago’s largest OB Unit at Northwestern Hospital. I started teaching graduate student midwives and nurse practitioner students in 2010. I continue to teach as a clinical leader in a Psychiatric NP program working with future practitioners.

I began my PMHNP clinical work at the Rush Hospital Outpatient Center seeing a wide variety of patients of many backgrounds, with an extensive range of severity and diagnoses. The ability to now serve new patients via Tele-Psychiatry with Cultivate Mental Health PC is exciting as it removes the most common barriers to care for most people interested in finding help with medications and medical treatment of their mental health concerns.

My areas of expertise are combining women’s health and psychiatric treatment, including medication use during the childbearing year. Working with complex PTSD and using trauma focused care. Chronic or major illness impact on mental health and well being. My other areas of interest include dance, body movement and music as therapeutic treatment.
